Frequently asked questions
How do I sign in, and what if I lose my phone?
Flint signs you in with a 6-digit code — no password. Every account has both a phone number and an email, so you can sign in with whichever you can receive a code on. If you lose your phone, see our lost or stolen phone guide.
Is my money safe? Is Flint a bank?
Flint is a financial technology company, not a bank. Banking, card issuing, and payment processing are provided by Stripe, Inc. and its partners. Your balance lives in your Flint account, not on your device — losing your phone doesn't lose your money.
How do I change my email or phone number?
Open Profile → Edit profile → tap your email or phone. We'll send a code to confirm the change. If you can't access your current email, choose "Can't access your current email?" and we'll verify you by text instead.
I see a device or sign-in I don't recognize.
Open Profile → Devices to see everywhere you're signed in, and tap "Sign out other devices" to remove anything you don't recognize (your current device stays signed in). Then change your card from the card screen if needed.
How do the group card and shared balance work?
A group pools money into one shared balance and spends it with a single group card. Flint keeps a fair ledger of who's contributed and who owes, so nobody has to front the group or chase people down.
What are the fees?
See the fees section on our home page for the current breakdown. We don't sell your data or charge hidden fees.
How do I delete my account?
Open Profile → Settings → Delete account. We'll walk you through settling any balances first. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
